Pick-up truck owners can improve the sound, style and durability of their workhorses with an exhaust from Milltek, reflecting the ongoing popularity for modifying pick-ups.
The leading performance exhaust manufacturer offers systems for the Ford Ranger, the UK and Europe’s best-selling pick-up for the past 10 years consecutively, and Volkswagen Amarok with its loyal following.
Ford Rangers with the 2.0- and 3.2-litre turbodiesel engines can choose Milltek’s innovative Active Sound Unit with single and dual speaker kits depending on the model. This technology lets the driver choose from 11 selectable sound files via a smartphone app to adjust the volume, pitch and tone on vehicles that often lack the sound that owners desire.
A Raptor-style twin outlet style is offered by Milltek for the Ford Ranger 2.0 BiTDi from 2022-on with axle-back system complete with different exhaust tips to suit the owner’s preferences.
Ranger Raptor owners can free up more of the 2023-on 3.0 V6 model’s growl with Milltek’s Cat-Back system made in aircraft grade 304L stainless steel for unbeatable long-lasting quality. This is a direct replacement for the original exhaust and there is a choice of exhaust tip finishes.
The Raptor system is also available with Milltek’s optional Active Valve Control to let the driver open and close the bypass valve in the exhaust when they want.
Volkswagen Amarok drivers have the option of an Active Sound Control system for all engines. The 2.0-litre turbodiesel engines are available with a resonated Cat-Back exhaust or you can opt for the louder non-resonated system that is also offered for the potent 3.0 V6 TDI model.
“Pick-up trucks are hugely popular and just because they’re working vehicles doesn’t mean owners don’t want to enjoy them,” says Kev Hall, Operations Manager of Milltek. “Our systems offer the best of all worlds – quiet when you need to get the job done, but a touch of a button frees up the exhaust sound, volume and fun factor.”
