London, 14 July 2025 – JAECOO UK is celebrating the successful debut of its latest model, the JAECOO 5, following a high-profile appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Featured prominently in the First Glance paddock and tackling the iconic Hillclimb, the JAECOO 5 made a confident introduction to UK audiences, signalling a significant milestone in the brand’s ongoing growth.
The model’s dynamic debut at this year’s Festival of Speed saw it complete full runs of the iconic Hillclimb, driven by an all-female team of professional drivers – a deliberate move that underscores JAECOO’s focus on inclusivity and new energy in the automotive sector. Its poised performance, paired with its distinctive exterior design – shared with the ever-popular JAECOO 7 – and well-appointed cabin, attracted significant attention from visitors throughout the event.
Powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the JAECOO 5 is generously equipped across both Pure and Luxury trim levels. As standard (Pure trim), the JAECOO 5 features Automatic Halogen headlights, a six-speaker SONY audio system, level 2 ADAS, six-way adjustable seats, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Luxury trim adds further refinements, including a panoramic roof, an eight-speaker SONY audio system, wireless phone charging, and six-way power-adjustable, heated and ventilated front seats.
Victor Zhang, Country Director of JAECOO UK, commented: “We’re back once again after a fabulous four-day event at Goodwood. The team has been representing the JAECOO 5 within the First Glance paddock, including driving up the Hill twice a day, and we also had the JAECOO 7 within the VIP transfer fleet. JAECOO launched in the UK just this January, yet brand recognition is already strong – many visitors approached us having seen our TV adverts, visited local dealerships, and, best of all, some were genuinely excited after test-driving or even purchasing a JAECOO 7.
“The JAECOO 5 might be compact, but it’s mighty – and its Hillclimb runs demonstrated exactly why we’re so confident about its role in our fast-growing UK line-up. It’s stylish, capable and packed with technology that customers increasingly expect as standard. We’re excited to see the JAECOO 5 on UK roads later this year.”
Designed as a premium compact SUV with urban appeal, the JAECOO 5 offers a distinctive blend of bold design, advanced driver assistance technologies and comprehensive connectivity features. It is also backed by JAECOO’s seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, with RAC Home Start available as standard during this period, too.
The brand’s presence at Goodwood also highlights its deepening relationship with the Estate, including the provision of VIP fleet cars during Goodwood events. Its participation at the Festival of Speed signals a long-term ambition to position JAECOO at the heart of Britain’s most celebrated automotive and cultural moments.
More information on the JAECOO 5’s confirmed UK specification and pricing will be announced soon. First customer deliveries will take place later this year.
